By chance, he raised a king cobra. He took the snake on a trip around Ha Long City and then brought it to the forest 70km from his home to release it back into the wild.
The story of Pham Van Linh and his king cobra traveling everywhere recently caused a stir in the online community. By chance, Linh bought an egg that hatched into a baby snake. Linh raised the snake for about 20 days before releasing it back into the forest.
“This is my coolest pet. I bought some bird eggs and they hatched into some pretty baby snakes that know how to puff their cheeks to pose. Turns out it’s a king cobra. No matter what, it’s the one that’s known as the one who brings hell. But we’ve been together for a long time.
It didn’t give me any kisses. I released it back to the forest 70km from home. If I released it too close, people would catch it. This is a photo I took of the beautiful road, I don’t know if I’m happy or sad. Don’t say I’m unlucky, it’s just curiosity that didn’t work out,” Linh shared.

Linh’s “pet” made many people afraid because it was a very poisonous king cobra. However, after discovering it, Linh not only did not abandon it but also raised it as her close friend, feeding it, putting it in a box and even… taking it around the world.
This friend said this was a coincidence. He could have kept the snake for a long time, but releasing it back into the forest was more important and necessary. Therefore, before leaving, Linh took the snake on a trip around Ha Long, then traveled 70km away from home to find a safe place for the snake.

Linh’s story has attracted many netizens. Many are scared but some are amused, thinking that Linh’s actions are correct.
“Oh, it gives me goosebumps. If I bought this snake egg, I would return it immediately or find a place to release it. I don’t have the courage to keep it for 20 days. You even named it and took it out to play, which shows that you love this snake very much ,” LH said.
“It looks cute. As long as it doesn’t bite or harm anyone, I think it’s fun to raise. But anyway, releasing it back into the forest is safe and also a natural environment for it to develop,” HA shared.

Sharing with us, Van Linh said that he not only took the snake out to play but also gave his strange and unique “pet” a special name: “I have released the snake, my friend. I have raised it for 20 days now, but perhaps releasing it is good for both of us. I released it deep in the forest, because if I released it close, I was afraid that people would beat it to death. I took it on a trip around Ha Long, it was very small, I put it in a box and closed the lid.
I even gave it a name: Da Hoa Quan. The two of us even took a photo series called “Holding your hand and traveling around the world”. We walked 40km with it and then went 30km into the forest to release it.”
