A man in Brisbane, Australia was shocked to find a large python in his toilet bowl.
The Daily Mail reported that the incident occurred on January 19 (local time). Mr. Stewart Lalor, who works at a snake catching center in Brisbane City, received an emergency call at 6:45 am. This person then went to the house in Wynnum City, about a 20-minute drive away.
“They called us to catch a python. I just put on gloves and caught the animal. Carpet pythons are very common in Queensland,” Mr Lalor told the Daily Mail .
The python entered the toilet through a pipe leading outside the house. Mr. Lalor said that pythons rarely appear in toilets, only 2-3 similar incidents per season.

“People think pythons want to be in the sun all the time, but they can also get hot and need to find ways to cool down,” Mr Lalor explained.
Pythons often enter homes through open drains and pipes in older homes.
Carpet pythons are non-venomous and are common in Queensland. However, their bites can cause lacerations and bleeding. Carpet pythons can grow to over 3 metres in length.
After posting the incident on social media, it attracted nearly 700 comments and 400 shares within 4 hours.
“Did anyone see this while they were sitting on the toilet?” – one netizen wrote.
“I never turn on the light when I go to the toilet at night. I won’t do that anymore” – another person learned his lesson.
