A brave little girl swimming with a giant Sumatran python has made many people’s hearts skip a beat with concern.

The image of a girl swimming with a giant albino python   has many people shivering with fear. At the same time, they also blamed the girl’s parents for allowing their daughter to commit such a dangerous act.

However, according to Corey Wallace, the father of  the girl swimming with the giant python  , he said that his family lives in Redding, California and has raised this python as a pet for almost a decade.

This giant python called Sumatra is a female python belonging to the Burmese python family, one of the  largest snakes in the world.

Sumatra has been present at more than 500 birthday parties. Since her childhood, Sumatra has played with children, she has never brutally killed anything.

Sumatra even plays very closely with the Wallace family’s other two pets, a dog and a cat.

Sumatra never eats any live animal. Only if the animal is dead, otherwise Sumatra would rather starve to death.

That’s why Corey Wallace often makes rabbits and chickens die in the quickest and most painless way by hitting the back of the animal’s head and then feeding it Sumatra.

Many veterinary experts advise that pythons should not be considered pets, and that this dangerous cold-blooded animal should not be allowed to sleep with them because it can gradually perceive its owner as food.

However, for the Wallace family, Sumatra may not just be a pet, but also a member of the family. Because he was raised from a very young age, Sumatra soon lost his wild and feral nature.

Sumatra swam with his little mistress without hurting a single strand of hair.
