The special moment when a diamondback python hung down from the roof and feasted on a giant possum was captured by a photographer.
According to Daily Mail, snake catcher Stuart McKenzie was invited to catch a large python at a house in Mooloolaba, north of Brisbane, Australia this morning (May 13).
When he arrived, McKenzie saw the python dropping from the water trough and had swallowed half of the koala.
McKenzie shared the photo and said that the long-tailed possum was fully grown. “The python was about 2 meters long and it took nearly 1 hour to eat all its prey. It’s surprising because it can still devour such large prey and eat it upside down.”
A Facebook user also agreed with McKenzi: “It’s amazing that it can hang from the water trough with such a special weight in its mouth.
It is known that a possum can be up to 1 meter long and a diamondback python can be up to 3 meters long. Diamond pythons are not harmful to humans, but they often eat mice, kangaroos, and sometimes family pets.
