While foraging for food along the river, the juvenile crocodile encountered a fearsome predator in its natural food chain: a giant python .
Normally in the wild, these two animals, both apex predators, often clash and deliver terrifying bites.
In this confrontation the giant python had the advantage, it grabbed the crocodile and began to squeeze it tightly, and the prey rarely managed to escape.
It was thought that the crocodile would die quickly, but no, luck smiled on it. Two boys appeared and chased the python away, so the crocodile narrowly escaped the “grim reaper”.
When hunting, pythons often wrap their prey around their body and squeeze it to death, then slowly swallow it. Pythons’ teeth are curved inward , but thanks to the structure of their wide jaws, they can swallow large prey.
