When facing a giant rock python, the honey badger is not afraid at all.
Photographer Susan McConnell captured these epic scenes of a confrontation between a honey badger and a giant African rock python while exploring the Singita Lebombo Conservancy, a private area of Kruger National Park near the Mozambique border
ust outside the cave, the honey badger encountered a giant rock python under a tree. Unlike many other animals that were startled and tried to run away, the honey badger stared at the python like it was its lunch
Gently approaching the giant rock python, the fearless honey badger startled and made the python extremely uncomfortable.
Immediately after noticing the honey badger, the giant rock python rushed to attack . Its speed was so fast that it surprised many tourists
Unfortunately, the honey badger’s defenses are extremely strong. It leaps back and forth, finding the giant python’s weak spot
The honey badger continuously bit all over the python’s body, each time it bit it would pull out a piece of flesh, causing the python to be in extreme pain, turning around and deciding to fight to the death with the honey badger.
At the end of the battle, with his recklessness and agility, the badger won a spectacular victory, killing the giant rock python, turning the reptile that terrified many people into his sumptuous lunch. In the photo, the honey badger is dragging the giant rock python’s carcass to a secluded place to enjoy it comfortably
