Residents of an island in southern Indonesia were left in shock when they discovered a monstrous python measuring up to 10 metres long trapped under the wheel of a car.
According to Sputnik, Indonesian villagers helped rescue a giant python up to 10 meters long on the Axis 10 highway leading to the town of Palopo.
The huge python calmly crossed the road without predicting the threats that awaited it ahead. By the time the driver saw the python lying in the middle of the road, it was already too late.

This man tried to brake but the car still drove over the giant python and stopped right on top of his body.
According to the witness who recorded the video, local residents felt sorry for the giant python and worked together to save it.
It is unclear what happened to the python or whether it was injured after being crushed by the car. This may be the largest giant python ever seen in Indonesia.
Last month, a 7-metre-long giant python ate an Indonesian woman in Sulawesi province. The victim’s sandals and machete were found the next day, and the giant python with its bulging belly was lying about 30 metres away.
People suspected that the python had swallowed the victim, so they killed it, cut open its stomach and found the victim’s body inside.
Last year, a man came across a 7-metre-long giant python, but was lucky to survive in Indonesia. The python meat is then divided equally between villagers as food.
